Significant points and information derived from 2014 YOG in Nanjing ...

The weightlifting Competitions of the YOG ended in Nanjing. What it is pointed out in this report takes a look at some of the statistics and data of the above competition which is worth being reviewed.

On the whole 33 gold, silver and bronze medals won by the athletes of 21 countries from all around the world consisting 8 countries from Asia , 8 countries from Europe, 3 countries from Pan American and 2 African countries.

The best and most of the medals won by the Asian lifters ; The Asian athletes succeeded to take 6 gold , 6 silver and 3 bronze medals and on the other hand,4 gold ,4 silver and 4 bronze medals allocated to the European representative athletes and the African weightlifters managed to obtain 1 gold and 2 bronze medals and in the end the American Youth athletes could attain 1 silver and 2 bronze .

From among the countries participating in 2014 YOG, only the Thai , Chinese and Armenian Youth lifters were able to achieve 2 gold medals both in Youth Boys and Girls section . But , it should be said that the Thai athletes could obtain one silver except the 2 gold medals being superior than the Chinese and Armenian rivals.

The Russian athletes triumphed to collect the most of the available medals ; They were able to win 1 gold and 3 silver medals in total .

The athletes of 8 countries succeeded to obtain gold medal in Both Men’s and Women’s class including 4 Asian , 3 European and 1 African country.The Youth lifters from Asian countries such as China, Vietnam, TPE, India , DPR Korea, Kazakhstan, Thailand and Uzbekistan were victorious to take hold of the available medals.

In total, 45% of the entire medals won by the Asian Youth athletes at weightlifting competitions during 2014 YOG in Nanjing.
